Sorrel Pinto War Horse

In the wilderness of the American Wild West, an Indian pony stands upon a boulder on a cold, overcast day in the late autumn. This strong mustang is painted for battle wearing turquois and ochre war paint. As this proud warrior watches over the land, the first cold winds of the coming winter blow through its white mane and tail.

From the artist: Horses in my War Horse collection tend to have red and blue paint, but when I tried them on this horse with a sorrel pinto coat, they seemed a bit too harsh. So, I went with somewhat more subdued colors and thought it turned out better. I also really like the statuesque feeling to this one.
