Bay Roan

A horse with a bay roan coat, star face marking, and dark stockings stands before you after a storm. It emerges from a bright mist rising from the moisture on the ground left behind by the rain. Behind the animal, there is a sense of darkness as the storm where the storm recedes into the distance. A gentle breeze still blows gently through the horse's mane an tail at is gazes intently back at you, the viewer.

From the artist: For this artwork, I really wanted to have the look of an almost monochromatic painting traversing various shades of cream and brown using dark and light values to create a sense of drama rather than relying on an active pose for the horse.
