There are registries that specifically track Palomino horses, such as the Palomino Horse Association and the Palomino Horse Breeders of America. These groups have slightly different definitions of what constitutes a Palomino, often including additional criteria such as conformation and size.

From the artist: This is my first image to feature a Palomino. It's actually one I get a lot of requests for, second probably behind Appaloosas. It's a nice coat and I like the way it stands out against the white of the snow in this scene.
