Outfoxed - Canvas Print

This is a canvas print from one of Daniel's digital paintings.

A hunting dog, specifically, an English pointer, has been chasing a fox. The fox, however, has outsmarted the hound. Leading the hunter into a hollow log by a shallow rocky stream, the clever trickster has outfoxed his pursuer. The dog has gotten stuck in the old, rotting, fungus covered, log. Now, the victorious Reynard stands looking down at the poor stuck dog. If foxes could laugh, this one would be having quite the chuckle.

From the artist: This is another artwork set in my favorite kind of environment: the deep forest. For this one, I was inspired by classic hunting themed paintings that I saw in a man's study while touring a historic mansion. I rather enjoyed the strong earth tones of the art I saw there.
