This is a print from one of my oil pastel drawings.
Inspired by the legendary Beast of Bladenboro, this haunting artwork captures a snarling cryptid emerging from the misty pine forests of North Carolina. Its glowing eyes and bared fangs cut through the fog as though the creature has just stepped from local legend into reality. The dense woodland setting and rough, expressive brushwork create an atmosphere of primal fear and mystery rooted in Southern folklore and cryptozoology.
From the artist: I imagine that this is how the birds in my yard see my black cat :D I wanted to make this creature look like more than just a panther. The Beast of Bladenboro is a cryptid after all. So, I gave him extra long teeth and ears to make him stranger.
The original for this artwork is on 14" x 11" Ampersand Pastelbord, made using Sennelier oil pastels.
Thanks for looking,
